Give Back

Seattle area percussion and dance students took the lead in bringing the local community together to take action against the devastating consequences of Ebola in Guinea. They created the Guinea Arts Cooperative, a collaboration between the teaching artists, their families, students, and friends who have come together to create a series of community arts fundraising events called “Beyond Ebola.” Funds will be used to meet the essential needs of the artists’ family members and extended networks in Guinea who are being directly and indirectly affected by the Ebola outbreak. In addition to supporting those we personally know and love in Guinea, a portion of funds raised will be earmarked to support the work of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), which has been combating food insecurity in Guinea since 1964.

We are now reaching out to you, to extend our efforts and help as many people in Guinea as possible
